Hosting for EAT Food for Life Canada provides an individual or family with the opportunity to take part in the Association's most significant goal of bringing real food into the lives of those who may not otherwise be able to receive it.

The general areas for host locations are identified through a demographic study of our co-producers' addresses in order to provide them the most convenience for package pickups.

Our hosts join our small family farmer(s), who are making deliveries to the host locations, in welcoming our co-producers and their family members and friends. Hosts often are the first to respond to questions and specific requests, especially from those who are new. They provide this service once per month at a regular interval (for an approximate two hour period) and day (typically on a Saturday).

With these in mind, our hosts must be personable, available, responsible and organized and have first-hand knowledge of the CSA program. In the event that a pre-arrangement is made for a delayed pickup, the host will need to provide cold storage for this package(s). This could mean providing a cold storage container and dry ice, with the cost reimbursed by the requestor, if necessary.

We welcome your inquiry providing you are interested in making a commitment to this important role. Our hosts will receive a CSA package on each monthly delivery day for compensation. Your application will be reviewed and we will contact you shortly.
