We are Tim and Maighread Axe of EAT Food for Life - an association of small family farms dedicated to providing safe, delicious, nutrient-dense meats to the greater community.

Our farm, Terra Caritatis Patris, is nestled in the rolling hills of Alberta's Lakeland region near the little hamlet of Clandonald, 20 miles north of Vermilion, where we raise organically grown grassfed beef and pastured soy-free turkeys and chickens.

Maighread's father, Conn McCormack, purchased and began working the initial portion of the farm with his lovely new bride, Ann, in January of 1960. They began by milking cows and selling the fresh cream. Conn insisted that with the beautiful pastoral setting, the farm would surely become a show place. We couldn't agree more and are presently creating a farm store for our friends to enjoy during their visits to the farm.

Tim's involvement in the organic movement began prior to meeting Maighread and helped to set a new direction for the farm. We were married in April 2006 and Terra Caritatis Patris was certified organic in January of 2009. We have primarily a Red Angus herd and manage-graze them on our home pastures, constantly renewing the soil's fertility. Terra Caritatis Patris is a farm member of the EAT Food for Life association.
